My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at No. 39 Galle Fort over the New Year break. What a cozy place that makes you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time. Tastefully decorated, with good staff and a prime location for experiencing the Fort area. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!

It was a very unique experience staying at No. 39 Galle Fort. Prior to our visit, the host could not have been more accommodating and helpful, making us feel at ease and taken care of. The villa itself is amazing and a true taste of old-world charm. The staff in the villa are friendly, kind, and very helpful, catering to every need and providing delicious meals every day. The Fort itself is a romantic backdrop and is a great location to be based for a true taste of authentic Sri Lankan history. Would highly recommend!! From the moment that we walked into the villa we became excited at our choice of accommodation. The staff were incredibly attentive and still allowed privacy. The longer that we stayed the more we felt at home.The beauty of this villa and it’s design added to it’s family and majestic feel. Its location within the fort was perfect as well. We came for a two day stay at this villa.The cosiness and warmth of the place hit us very pleasantly the moment the door opened. Imalka and Champa served us with much commitment and care and the food was delicious.Their attentiveness was beyond compare! We noticed the attention to detail and the care in which the place has been equipped.All in all we had a wonderful experience – homey, warm and utterly comfortable. we hope others will have the privilege of coming ,seeing and enjoying this beautiful villa! We were looking for a little oasis to celebrate our mum’s 70th birthday and it is safe to say that we indeed found it here! We wanted a place that was homely and provides us the comfort of being close to family. We were able to have a celebration with family that drove over from Colombo to the comfort of the villa. Our experience was augmented by the exceptional service provided by Imalka and Champa. Not a single detail was overlooked. The food was amazing. Imalka and Champa cooked for 6 of our guests and provided the best service we have come across just between the two of them. We are very grateful for all of their assistance and service. The villa although is in the middle of the busy Fort, is very calm and serene.It provided us with the atmosphere we were looking for when we looked for a villa to stay within the confines of the Fort. We will definitely come back and recommend this villa. We will sure come back for the exceptional service from the staff! Keep up the great work

This is our first trip to Sri Lanka and the first step on our 3 week tour and we are very sad to leave.We have had such a fabulous stay. Imalka and Anjali have been amazing, nothing has been too much trouble for them.The food was AMAZING and my daughter particularly loved the towel animals laid out on the beds everyday. The place is so clean and tidy, even the power cuts have not been an issue thanks to Imalka and Anjali’s care. We will definitely recommend No.39 to our friends and cannot wait to return .
